It takes time to do that - and here we are a year later and we still haven't used all of its combinations! However, I can say that the Convection/Grill/Microwave function is brilliant for cutting down the amount of time required to produce a crispy coated jacket potato! A normal lunchtime sized spud takes just half an hour, as opposed to the hour a normal oven would take. I'm a bit disappointed with the grill function alone, as it is a bit toothless and good for just adding a bit of colour to some of the oven baked goodies. I definitely wouldn't use it for grilling my sausages or I'd be there all day. Another problem we've discovered is that the oven tends to hold its moisture when cooking, even though it has a fan function. So cake baking is a definite hit and miss affair, as the internal atmosphere stays so moist. Oh - and cleaning the oven is a complete bugger. Because the grilling element is uncovered, if something explodes in the microwave (hey, we've got a teenager - things will explode from time to time), cleaning the ceiling of the oven is a nightmare because you can't get to it for the element being in the way. However, for all that, if you cover stuff and take care not to let things explode, it's not too much of a problem. I'll have to do an updated review post for the DeLonghi and include some tips and wrinkles!Jenny Eatwellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16664664803454422811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6040346349049757534.post-37952981529794783602014-09-16T12:03:16.705+01:002014-09-16T12:03:16.705+01:00I got here searching "How to cook sausages in...I got here searching "How to cook sausages in a combination microwave"<br /><br />And was delighted to see a (different) £99.99 De Longhi.
