You don't turn it out of the ramekin because it would be just a spoonful of slop. No, the cheese doesn't stick to the bottom. I suspect it's because of the combination of fat from the cheese, butter and cream that stops it from sticking - plus the egg holds everything together. If you were to bake it until everything was set, it would turn out - but it wouldn't be that soft unctuous gooeyness that is so good!Jenny Eatwellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16664664803454422811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6040346349049757534.post-14278926118178176162012-09-22T20:30:51.276+01:002012-09-22T20:30:51.276+01:00Hmmm... Have you ever tried using large muffin tins? I don't have ramekins on hand.Tint~https://www.blogger.com/profile/15237375362227902198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6040346349049757534.post-88118010791852028732012-02-25T09:17:32.594+00:002012-02-25T09:17:32.594+00:00When we were in the supermarket doing the shopping...When we were in the supermarket doing the shopping yesterday, I said to hubby that I was wondering whether you'd managed to try them yet. :)Jenny Eatwellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16664664803454422811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6040346349049757534.post-33295230945906808552012-02-25T09:16:06.199+00:002012-02-25T09:16:06.199+00:00I know! :) They really do reach the parts other ...I know! :) They really do reach the parts other egg dishes don't. If you're after a bit of a vegetable hit as well, you can add a little spinach to the bottom of the ramekin before adding the first helping of cheese. Personally, I've never tried it this way, but I hear it's good!Jenny Eatwellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16664664803454422811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6040346349049757534.post-12988451144699857442012-02-19T11:19:37.732+00:002012-02-19T11:19:37.732+00:00I've never even heard of Swiss eggs until now!...I've never even heard of Swiss eggs until now!
